T-Mobile LG G3 gets Lollipop through PC Upgrade Tool

LG-G3-back-button

T-Mobile LG G3 users are being treated to some Lollipop early, with LG having made the upgrade available over-the-wire. That means you’ll need to use LG’s Mobile Support Tool which is only available for Windows computers.

To use it, simply plug your phone up to your computer and start the Support Tool app. It will recognize your phone and check for available updates — this is the point where it should find Lollipop, which will be build LRX21Y and software version D85120b. Follow all the directions and let it do its thing, and before you know it you’ll be up and running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

For those unlucky enough not to own a Windows PC, we’re sure T-Mobile will push this thing out over-the-air in due time, so be patient. For everyone else, let us know how you and the update are getting along once you’ve gotten it loaded up.
